Many of these run at our Elbow Lake campus, while others are offered at our research headquarters on Lake Opinicon. Some of our popular programs are available for booking by private groups ($75 per 2 hrs of programming) and include:
- Winter Ecology**- ice fishing, snowshoeing, animal tracks
- Astronomy and Constellation Stories
- Winter Feederbirds (November to April)
- Nocturnal Life: Animals at Night
- Owls: Secrets of Stealth & Silence
- Introduction to Canoeing
**Funding for this program was provided by the Community Foundation for Kingston & Area
In addition to our programs, we have a growing network of partner organizations who offer workshops and events at both campuses of the Queen's University Biological Station. Our most popular offerings include workshops by Ontario Women Anglers and the long-running Fabulous Fall Fungi - these sell out FAST! Scheduling is ongoing and details are added regularly, so check our offerings frequently! Follow the Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre on Twitter or Facebook for notification of new events.
