Students are each given a card with a phrase on it (Found in Minds On Statements.pdf<\/a><\/strong>). Students circulate and share phrases with one another. While circulating students try to figure out what the unit is about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

KWL<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Brainstorm KWL Chart: Teacher records all the class knows about water- students can copy chart into their Outdoor Learning Journal <\/em>(introduced in the Teacher\u2019s Guide). The journal will be used for reflection and notes throughout the unit particularly when the students are engaged in learning on the land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
