2022 Elbow Lake Family Night- The Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre’s Outreach and Stewardship staff host a variety of exciting and educational programs every Thursday evening in July and August! These public events are free and all are welcome! Please register in advance to attend.
Join us and a special guest for the Perseids meteor shower! Spend the night or come for the evening and learn about the planets, constellations, galaxies, and stars. Weather-permitting, a brief indoor presentation will be followed by a guided tour of the night sky using a telescope and a laser pointer. How many meteors will you count? If the sky is clear, our stargazing will treat us to a dynamic display!
Meet at 7:30 pm in the Pavilion for this free event or book your family/group into a cabin overnight (special rate $75/cabin). Registration for programming and overnight guests is required. This event will run rain or “shine” but let’s hope for clear skies! Bring your binoculars!
